So fun to be Malaysian

I was checking my mail as usual and received an email with this ‘joke’ (well, I find it funny) about so-called facts about Malaysians.

Please take note that this is not originally written by me.

National Excuse for Hair Loss
Maggi Mee

National Excuse for Being Late
Traffic Jam

National Condom
None. Most Malaysians still feel embarrassed buying condoms. So they rush into a 7-11, hurriedly grab the nearest pack, any pack, pay and leave before the cashier can even blink an eye.

National Fruit for Inducing Menstruation
Pineapple
(Umm… sure or not?! I never knew about this)

National Aphrodisiac Drink
Stout. Many swear by it.
But after a few pints they start swearing at everything…

National Fake Illness for Getting MC
Men: Food Poisoning

Women: Menstrual Pain
(Ah.. I never use this as an excuse. I usually just say I’m having fever)

National Excuses Given When Refusing Sex
Women: Headache, kids not asleep, maid not asleep, mother-in-law around, early
appointment, period, haven’t removed make-up, haven’t had a shower, no water
supply, going to watch ‘Desperate Housewives’, depressed, no mood, etc…

Men: None. Malaysian men never refuse sex
(Haha.. This makes it sounds like Malaysian men all desperate for sex >.<)

National Cure for Headaches
Panadol. The ‘cure for all’. If it fails we have another secret weapon;
Tiger Balm.
(So true for the Panadol. Not only headache but also for fever. Sometimes of my friends don’t bother going to the doctors while having fever as they said doctors will give them Panadol as well)

National Cure for Dizziness
Minyak Angin Cap Kapak.

National Cause of Dizziness (For Yuppies)
Happy Hours.

National Instant Cure for Dizziness (For Yuppies)
The sight of a police roadblock.

National Rubbish Dump
Anywhere. As long as it is not your house.

National Most Mis-Pronounced Name
Carrefour. Sometimes even pronounced as Carry 4!
(Have to agree on this as I have heard a lot of people pronouncing it as ‘Carry 4′. There was once I heard ‘Care Leh 4′.)

On second thought, why bother pronouncing stupid French brands like Peugeot, Renault or Citroen correctly. I think it sounds better, when the local mechanics say ‘Pew Jeot’. When I was in school, Milo was always ‘MeeLo’, now that I’m sophisticated, I say ‘My Lo’. So don’t be embarrassed saying ‘Carry 4′ when the ! Mat Sallehs shamelessly pronounce orang utan as ‘rangootan’.

National Roadside Distraction
The Bra-less Tourist. See how heads turn and traffic slows down when a bra-less Mat Salleh backpacker goes ‘bouncing’ about on the streets.
(LOL!)

Hong Kong Disneyland – Part 2

Okay! Continuing with the Hong Kong Disneyland post.

We’re about to enter the Philhar Magic for the ‘Lion King Show’.

Below are some pictures of the show. We ain’t allow to take pictures with flash therefore the pictures are a little bit blur. What’s more?! I’m using a cheap camera so quality not so good la.

Some random picture taken while walking towards another attraction.

Winnie the Pooh!! My favorite Disney cartoon character. The game sucks though. The queue took us almost 1 1/2 hours but the game was only less than 3 minutes. So not worth it.

The ‘Golden Mickey’s Theater‘. The show was fantastic. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to video during the show.

Tomorrowland…

Only interesting game here is the Buzz Lightyear.

Cinderella castle?! I think so.

Nice Mickey Mouse.

Some pictures taken with some characters. There are so many characters but so little time.

Don’t want to make the post looks too long. So there will be another part for the parade.

Prego, Westin Hotel

Well well.. we went to an Italian restaurant, Prego at The Westin for an early celebration of my cousin. We chose that place because my mom was in town. That place expensive la, don’t think any of us would be able to foot the bill… hahaha  But since my brother cousin is my mom’s “god-son” so I don’t think she mind. The dinner cost us (to be exact, my mom) almost RM700 but is worth it. The food really nice. Another thing I like about the restaurant is the open-kitchen concept. But I have no picture to show you people.

Anyway, here are the pictures. Enjoy!

Wood-fired pizza! When I first look at the menu, I saw “wood-fried” and my cousin was laughing at me. So paiseh!!!

Esther ordered a Cabonara (not sure if I get the spelling correct). I tasted nothing special, it’s just like some normal ones you can get out there.

My mom had a Salmone. I have no idea why the dish looked different from what I had last year. You will see the Salmone I had last year at the bottom of the page. However, it still tasted good.

Chester’s Lamb Rack!! Small hor?! It’s another great dish (that’s what they said) so I would recommend this. Before I had the chance to try, they finished everything up

This one comes with the set dinner, Kobe Beef. No comments on this one. Didn’t like the taste so much.

Shorbet dessert for the set dinners.

And finally my Sea Bass. Salted Crust Sea Bass!! Sorry the picture is a little blur and I know you can’t really see the fish :???: Fish is fresh as well. Anyway, after cutting, here’s how they served the dish…..

** Boy Boy, if you happen to see this post… the guy on the top picture looks like you

The bread is really yummy  Not sure what they named it though.

Caesar Salad

See!! The Salmone my mom had and this is totally different but they are from the same menu with the same name LOL!

Beef (I forgot the name).
